I make films that explore the strange beauty of being human.
  • Through poetic visuals, unresolved tension, and offbeat characters searching for connection, I’m drawn to moments in life that don’t wrap up neatly. My work lives in the space between comedy and melancholy—where mystery, contradiction, and quiet rebellion drive the story forward. I’m here to make films that help us connect with each other and ourselves.

  • I'm a Swedish-born, Auckland-based director drawn to poetic, visually rich storytelling with a dark, offbeat edge. I love creating worlds where characters are slightly out of step with those around them—suspended in unresolved tension. My films explore identity, connection, and the comedy of being at odds with the world, often through a lens that’s both lyrical and mysterious.

My latest short, Port (2024), is a bittersweet love letter to those who leave home in search of something more. While improvised in performance, it was anchored by a structured shot schedule, rehearsed scenes, and a clear list of story beats. Over the past 20 years, I’ve created award-winning work in New Zealand, Sweden, and the UK, with support from the British Film Council, Swedish Film Institute, and Canal Plus. A Berlinale Talents alumnus, I’m currently developing my first feature film and two original TV series.
